Romo —

Romo came to me as a Mother's Day gift in 2000 from my children after the loss of our family pets: a basset hound "Luke", and a tabby kitty "Copper" at 14 years of age, losing them within about 3 months of each other. I was not sure I was ready for another pet, but he stole my heart from the moment I met him.

He was with me for 13 years and by my side through my most difficult times, and through my happiest times. He was very camera shy and we only have this one photo of him taken about 2 months before he went to doggie heaven.

Romo was so sweet and was attached to my hip every minute. We spent countless hours together — me talking to him and him sitting beside me in "our chair". He brought me many years of joy, wonderful unconditional love and devotion.

I will miss him dearly but I will always carry him in my heart.
