He arrived in our lives with the playfulness of an 8-week old puppy but with a regal demeanor. He may have thought that his purpose was to be the official Chatfield Doggy Park host/greeter as he ran up to most human beings looking for a pet or two. The visual image of him coming towards you was that of an angel running your way with ears flowing gaily, long silky body and leg hair flowing freely towards the feathered tail regally held high. When he walked towards you, one would see the gait of a proud Clydesdale. He yearned to acquaint himself with EVERTHING human — words, phrases, names of rooms in the house and of places to go, and of the actual smell of all that was held in the chef's hands. We had 12-1/2 blessed years to equip Rumpus for his next journey. Rumpus is painfully missed.
